The Nepal Police Wives Association celebrated its 41st anniversary on Wednesday by honoring notable individuals for their contributions to society.
Among those recognized were senior cardiologist Dr. Om Murti Anil and veteran actor Haribansa Acharya, both celebrated for their work in health and the arts, respectively. They were honored during a special ceremony attended by high-ranking officials and dignitaries.
Inspector General of Nepal Police Dipak Thapa presented the honors, which also went to social worker Uttam Pudasaini and Ram Bahadur Neupane, acknowledging their efforts in serving the community.
Speaking at the event, IGP Thapa praised the Association's dedication to social service and humanitarian causes, despite operating with limited resources.
“The Nepal Police Wives Association has been working with commitment to social welfare and humanity. It should continue its journey with the spirit of selfless service,” Thapa said.
Rupa Thapa, Chairperson of the Association, along with other speakers, also shared remarks highlighting the organization’s ongoing efforts in philanthropic and community development initiatives.
The anniversary event featured a variety of programs aimed at celebrating the Association's achievements and reinforcing its commitment to social good.
