CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of Nepal’s martyrs, vowing to continue the struggle for justice, dignity, and equality.
Speaking at a program in Matiyabasti, Punarbas Municipality, organized to honor the families of martyrs, Dahal announced the official launch of the “One Martyr, One Employment” initiative. The program aims to provide job opportunities to the relatives of those who lost their lives in Nepal's political movements.
Dahal, also a former Prime Minister, is touring the region as part of the Maoist Centre’s Tarai-Madhes awareness campaign, which focuses on engaging communities along the Postal Highway.
Addressing the event, Dahal underscored the party's enduring responsibility toward the families of martyrs and the forcibly disappeared. “We are committed to realizing the dreams they sacrificed their lives for,” he said. “The republican system is a result of their immense sacrifices, and there can be no alternative.”
He added that the party has given priority to the families of martyrs, recognizing their sacrifice and involving them meaningfully in society. As a symbolic tribute, Dahal draped family members in ceremonial shawls during the program.
In a continued show of commitment to local development, Dahal also inaugurated a new Drinking Water Project in Rampur, Belauri Municipality.
Later, at Shovatal in Punarbas Municipality-5, he met with more families of martyrs and the disappeared. Reaffirming his dedication to their cause, Dahal stressed that their sacrifices would not be in vain and that the party remains steadfast in its mission to build a just, inclusive, and equitable Nepal.
