The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has finalized a list of 150 cricketers eligible for the upcoming auction ahead of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
A total of 458 players had initially registered for the auction. The final shortlist was prepared based on the preferences of the eight participating teams and recommendations from the CAN technical committee.
The selected players have been categorized into three groups. Category ‘A’ features eight players: Arjun Saud, Dilip Nath, Dev Khanal, Pawan Sarraf, Sharad Vesawkar, Mohammad Adil Ansari, Surya Tamang, and Suman Gautam.
Category ‘B’ includes 35 players, such as Anil Kharel, Arjun Kumal, Deepak Bohora, Krishna Karki, and Prajwal Thapa. The remaining 107 players have been placed under Category ‘C’.
According to CAN, the auction for the franchise-based T20 cricket tournament will take place on August 9.
